Who do I contact about specific issues or concerns I have?
Do you have a specific question or concern regarding the school, students, the curriculum or other school related issues? If so, please use the following chain of command to assist you in your efforts to find answers to a problem or concern. Each member of the administrative team is trained to handle all of the following:
Classroom Teacher – daily classroom activities, individual or group student dynamics, pupil/teacher concern, projects, homework, tests, schedules, and all functions of the classroom
Amy Levin, Counselor – student to student interaction, mediation, crisis, bereavement, bullying, friendship groups, pupil/teacher concern, self esteem, attendance, tardies, abuse, testing, parent/teacher interaction, 504, and SST (student support)
Ginger Psalmonds, CST (curriculum support) – all curriculum, testing, TAG, report cards, grades, parent/teacher concern, student placement, retention, tours, and classroom observations
Adam Maroney, AP (assistant principal) – discipline, buses, pupil/teacher concern, parent/teacher concern, special ed., IEP, tardies, attendance, faculty/staff concerns, testing, and the day to day operation of the school.
Charlia Faulkner, Principal – student achievement, instructional program, PTA, LSC, community relations, business partners, strategic planning, school procedures and policies, daily management of New Prospect Elementary
The first step in seeking answers or solutions to questions and/or concerns is to begin with the teacher. Following the above chain of command will help to meet your needs in a more timely and efficient manner.
The bus is late. How do I find out what's happening? Schools and parents can now view school bus change information and school bus delay messages via the Internet. To use this new resource, begin at the Fulton County Schools System's homepage, http://www.fultonschools.org/index.asp. Click the 'School Bus Information' button on the left navigation bar. Click the 'School Bus Delays/Changes' button on the bottom right of the page. Select the school of interest from the drop-down box, and click the 'Submit' button.
